Ways for Wellbeing is a Community Interest Company established by four women of colour, with a collective experience of over 27 years in mental health and the health and social care sector. We provide access to creative activities that promote wellbeing and overall positive mental health.

Our approach

Our services encompass mentoring for individuals aged 5 and above, along with coaching support for adults and young people in community settings across the West Midlands.

As an NHS-accredited organisation, we have PCI-qualified Health and Wellbeing Coaches who provide tailored health and wellbeing coaching either individually or in group settings. Our coaches play a crucial role in promoting healthy habits, increasing physical activity, enhancing self-motivation for self-care, and following a preventive care approach.

Utilising various approaches, we offer comprehensive support to help individuals recognise their strengths and make positive changes in their lives. Our primary focus is on assisting individuals dealing with low-level mental health issues like low mood, anxiety, depression, stress, social isolation, financial concerns, and personal challenges.

Activies and experiences

Our methodology stresses that wellbeing and happiness are individual journeys. Through holistic learning experiences, we empower individuals to unlock their potential and take control of their lives through positive interactions.

People facing mental health challenges, individuals not seeking traditional NHS interventions, or those not meeting NHS criteria can benefit from our coaching services and gentle physical activities. These activities include gardening, nature walks, creative arts, gentle exercise, breathing exercises, and mindfulness practices.

Our activities serve as conversation starters about mental health, promoting the positive impact of these activities from a young age to instil behaviours that reduce the recurrence of mental health issues.

Our initiatives help individuals change their behaviour and equip them with improved coping mechanisms for ongoing support.

By encouraging individuals to play an active role in their well-being, our Health and Wellbeing coaches boost their confidence in managing health conditions, overcoming challenges, and pursuing meaningful goals.

I feel incredibly well supported by coach Nabila, who I feel truly cares about my health and wellbeing. She has allowed me to work at my own pace and I can finally see the light at the end of the tunnel. She has been patient and understanding and easy to open up to.
